Katia Burrows
My passion is helping people achieve their best possible health and wellbeing. I combine techniques such as Acupuncture, Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Homeopathy, and Cupping Therapy to create personalised treatment plans. Many of my patients travel from Leeds and across North Yorkshire, seeking natural approaches to pain relief, recovery, and balance.
I graduated from a medical university and began my career working in an intensive care unit. With over 25 years of medical experience, I have developed a deep belief in holistic care, addressing the root cause of a condition rather than just its symptoms. My dual background in conventional medicine and complementary therapies enables me to offer treatments that are both safe and highly effective.
My journey into complementary medicine began after sustaining a spinal injury. To avoid surgery, I turned to acupuncture, myofascial release, and craniosacral therapy. The results were transformative and inspired me to train extensively in the UK, USA, and China, establishing a strong foundation for my practice today.
I remain actively involved in medical research on acupuncture and homeopathy, regularly presenting seminars, hosting workshops, and pursuing ongoing professional development through advanced courses and conferences.
Outside of work, I maintain a healthy lifestyle through balanced nutrition, regular exercise, and mindfulness. I also enjoy travelling, reading, long walks, and spending time with family and friends.
