Katia Burrows
My passion is to help people achieve their optimum health and wellbeing. I do this by combining different techniques such as Acupuncture, Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Homeopathy and Cupping Therapy to create a personalised approach for each patient.
I graduated from a medical university and subsequently worked in an intensive care unit. Being a medical practitioner with over 25 years of practice, I am a strong believer in a holistic approach to health and always seek to identify and treat the cause of a health issue and not just the symptoms.
My career in the field of complementary medicine began after I suffered a spinal injury. To avoid surgical intervention I turned to acupuncture, myofascial release and craniosacral therapy. Although sceptical at first, I was very impressed with the results and wanted to understand and learn these techniques myself. My extensive training in UK, USA and China gave me a solid foundation to be a very successful practitioner.
I am actively involved in medical research supporting acupuncture and homeopathy. I present seminars and organise workshops, whilst continuing my own personal development by regularly attending training courses and conferences.
Outside of work I try to lead a healthy lifestyle by having a good diet and exercising regularly. I enjoy travelling, reading, going for long walks and spending time with my family and friends.
